In a community with so many resources available to youth and families, it sometimes helps to have everyone in one room to come up with a plan for a youth in severe crisis. As a part of Youth and Family Resource Services, the Community Resource Coordination Group (CRCG) makes this happen for families with youth who have a combination of problems that could hinder the youth's success (such as mental health, school and family issues).
Community organizations and the parent or guardian meet to discuss needed services, talk about obstacles that have been experienced and create a plan for the future. Discussions include:
The youth’s prior history of services Where to seek further assistance What treatment options are available What agencies can work together to benefit the youth
The program also provides no cost assessments, case coordination, respite services and other supports, all with the goal of diverting youth from the juvenile justice and child welfare involvement and promoting family choice.
If you know a youth with complex needs who would benefit from coordinated services, contact 832-927-6308.
